Setting Up Your Salon Account

A complete walkthrough of signing up, selecting your plan, and completing the onboarding process so your salon is ready to start posting.

1. Signing Up

Visit mostlypostly.com and click Get Started or Sign Up. You'll be taken to the account creation form.

You'll be asked for:

  1. 1

    Business Name

Your salon's official name. This becomes part of your unique salon URL (called a "slug") used throughout the system.

  2. 2

    Your Name, Email & Phone

Used for manager login and for receiving approval notifications via SMS when stylists submit posts.

  3. 3

    Password

You can also log in via a one-time link sent to your phone — no password required for day-to-day use.

Pro Tip

Use the phone number you actually check for text messages. Approval notifications and login links are sent via SMS to this number.

2. Choosing a Plan

After creating your account, you'll be guided to the billing page to select a plan. All plans include a 7-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.

Starter — $49/month

Up to 5 stylists, 60 posts/mo

Best for single-location salons with a small team. Covers the full AI caption and publishing workflow.

Growth — $149/month

Up to 20 stylists, 200 posts/mo, 3 locations

Designed for growing salons that need more posting volume and multiple location support.

Pro — $249/month

Unlimited stylists, 500 posts/mo, 5 locations

For established multi-location groups. Includes Vendor Brand Integrations — automatically receive and post approved campaigns from brands like Aveda and Redken.

Annual billing (pay once per year) is available at a 10% discount on all plans. A promo code field appears at checkout if you have one.

3. The Onboarding Steps

After activating your plan, you'll be guided through a 7-step onboarding flow. You can return to any step later from the Admin panel.

  1. 1

    Salon Basics

Enter your salon name, website URL, timezone, and address. The website URL is used to auto-extract your brand colors in the next step.

  2. 2

    Brand Colors

MostlyPostly reads your website and automatically extracts your primary, secondary, accent, and CTA colors. These are used in AI-generated promotion and availability images. You can edit the colors manually if needed.

  3. 3

    Posting Rules

Set your posting window (e.g., 9:00 AM–8:00 PM), minimum and maximum spacing between posts, and your salon's tone of voice (e.g., "warm and nurturing" or "fun and upbeat"). Also set up to 5 default hashtags that appear on every post.

  4. 4

    Manager Info

Confirm your manager profile details and set your approval preferences — whether posts require your sign-off or can auto-publish once a stylist approves.

  5. 5

    Adding Stylists

Add your stylists by name and mobile phone number. Each stylist gets a unique number to text photos to. You can add more stylists at any time from the Admin panel.

  6. 6

    Review

A summary of everything you've set up. Review and go back to edit anything before finalizing.

  7. 7

    Complete

Your account is ready. You'll be taken to your manager dashboard.

4. After Onboarding

Once onboarding is complete, you'll land on your manager dashboard. Here are the recommended next steps:

Pro Tip

You can re-run the brand color extraction at any time by visiting /onboarding/brand?reset=1 — useful if your website has been redesigned since you first signed up.
