Coordinator Posting

How coordinators can submit posts on behalf of any stylist — via SMS, portal confirmation, or the direct upload form — while keeping attribution accurate and the feed authentic.

Overview

The Coordinator role lets a designated team member — like a front desk staff or salon manager — submit social media posts on behalf of any stylist. Every post still carries the right stylist's name and attribution so the content feels authentic to your audience.

Coordinators are especially useful in busy salons where stylists are fully booked and don't have a free hand to text photos themselves. A front desk coordinator can snap the photo, submit it, and the post goes out under the stylist's name — no interruptions to the client service experience.

How It Works

Good to know

The attribution badge is internal only. On the actual social media post, guests see the stylist's name and handle in the caption — not the coordinator's. The experience stays personal.

Step-by-Step: Posting via SMS

  1. 1

Text a photo to the salon number

Send from the coordinator's registered phone number. MostlyPostly recognizes you as a coordinator based on your number.

  2. 2

MostlyPostly asks "Who is this for?"

If you include the stylist's name in your original message (e.g. "This is for Jasmine"), the AI will detect it automatically. Otherwise you'll be prompted to reply with the stylist's name.

  3. 3

    Reply with the stylist's name

MostlyPostly fuzzy-matches against your team roster — partial names and common nicknames all work.

  4. 4

    Open the confirmation link

You'll receive a portal link via text. Open it to verify the matched stylist and confirm the post. You can change the stylist from a dropdown if the match was incorrect.

  5. 5

    Post enters the approval queue

The post is submitted with the coordinator attribution badge and enters the normal approval queue — just like any stylist-submitted post.

Step-by-Step: Posting via Upload Form

  1. 1

Log in to the manager dashboard

Use your coordinator email and password at app.mostlypostly.com/manager/login.

  2. 2

    Click "Upload a Post"

The button appears in the top-right area of the Post Queue page.

  3. 3

    Select the stylist

Choose from the dropdown list of active stylists at your location.

  4. 4

    Upload the photo

Select a photo from your device. Standard JPEG or PNG photos work best.

  5. 5

    Caption is generated automatically

MostlyPostly's AI writes a caption using the salon's tone of voice and the selected stylist's profile. The post is saved as pending with your name as the coordinator.

Coordinator Leaderboard

Coordinators appear on the Performance → Coordinators tab with a ranked leaderboard showing posts submitted and points earned.

Coordinators earn half-points compared to stylists — since they're supporting the content pipeline rather than generating original work from their own client services. It's a recognition of their contribution without displacing the stylists on the main leaderboard.

Flood warning

If more than 3 coordinator posts are submitted within 7 days, the portal confirmation page shows an amber warning — a gentle reminder to check in with your manager before continuing at high volume.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can any manager be a coordinator?

No — the coordinator role is a specific role assigned at the team level. Owners and managers post directly under their own name; only team members with the Coordinator role can post on behalf of a specific stylist.

Will the post show the right stylist name on social media?

Yes — the stylist's name and handle appear in the caption on Facebook and Instagram. Only the internal dashboard and database view show the coordinator attribution badge.

What if the AI picks the wrong stylist?

The portal confirmation step lets you correct the attribution before the post is submitted. Use the stylist dropdown on the confirmation page to switch to the correct name — then submit.

Is there a limit on coordinator posts?

Coordinator posts count toward your salon's monthly post limit, same as any other post. A flood warning appears on the confirmation page if more than 3 posts are submitted within 7 days, prompting you to check in with your manager.

How do I add a coordinator to my team?

Go to Team → Add Team Member. Select the Coordinator role from the role dropdown, fill in their name, phone number, and email, and save. They'll receive a welcome message with their login details.
