Understanding Your Dashboard & Menus

A complete walkthrough of every section in your MostlyPostly manager dashboard — what each menu item does and when to use it.

Dashboard (Home)

The main view after login. This is your command center for content moving through the approval process.

At the top, you'll see posts pending your approval — each card shows the photo, AI-generated caption, stylist name, and post type. Below that is a list of recently published posts.

Quick actions available on each pending post:

Database

A searchable, filterable table of every post ever created for your salon — draft, pending, approved, and published. Use this to audit your content history or track down a specific post.

Filter options include:

Click any post to view its full details including the final caption published to Facebook and Instagram, the publish time, and which stylist submitted it.

Analytics

Shows performance metrics for published posts synced directly from Facebook and Instagram. Metrics include reach, likes and reactions, comments, shares, saves, and engagement rate.

The top of the page highlights your highest-performing posts (filtered to show only posts with real engagement — zero-engagement posts are excluded). Use this to understand what content resonates with your audience.

See the Analytics guide for full detail on syncing, resetting post IDs, and understanding the difference between Facebook and Instagram metrics.

Admin

Your salon's full settings hub. The Admin panel is organized into cards, each covering a different area of your account:

Team

Quick access to your full stylist roster: names, mobile phone numbers, Instagram handles, specialties, and profile photos. This is the same team management available in the Admin panel but surfaced as a dedicated view for quick reference.

New stylists need only their name and phone number to get started. Once added, let them know the salon's MostlyPostly number so they can begin texting in photos right away.

Scheduler

Configure the timing rules that govern when your posts go out. These settings ensure posts publish at natural, optimal times without flooding your feed or going live in the middle of the night.

💡 Pro Tip

Posting between 10 AM and 7 PM with a 4–6 hour minimum spacing is a solid starting point for most salons. Adjust based on when your own analytics show the highest reach.

Billing

View your current plan, posts published this month vs. your plan's monthly limit, trial status, and next renewal date. From here you can:

If you're on a free trial, the billing page shows how many days remain before your trial ends.

Locations (Growth & Pro)

Available on Growth and Pro plans. If you manage multiple salon locations, this section lets you switch between them from a single manager account.

Each location is fully independent — its own stylists, posting schedule, social media connections, and brand settings. Switching locations changes which salon's data you're viewing and managing throughout the entire dashboard.

To add a new location, click Add Location from this page. You'll be taken through the onboarding flow for the new location, where you'll set up its basics, brand colors, posting rules, and team separately.
